Millinery Services
Ready to Wear – items purchased from the Online Store are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated below. These conditions should be read in conjunction with the information available on the Ordering, Despatch and Returns policy pages.
Customisation of Ready-to-Wear items – a Ready-to-Wear item purchased from the online store that has been customised to the customer’s requirements – such as altering the colour of the millinery elastic or hairband etc. – is subject to the same terms and conditions as a bespoke couture order.
Bespoke Couture Orders – when you commission a couture order, it is subject to our acceptance, we reserve the right at all times and at our sole discretion to refuse to accept an order for any reason and without liability to you. Bespoke couture orders are made especially for you are non-returnable, nor are they refundable.
Your acceptance of the couture commission proposal/invoice confirms that you will pay the deposit due i.e. 50% of the retail price, this is payable before work on your hat or headpiece can commence. The balance of 50% is due before collection or despatch for delivery.
Hat Hire Service – this is governed by a rental agreement which is signed by both the client and the milliner. This agreement states the hire terms – including the details relating to the security deposit and the rental term (7 days inclusive from the date of collection to the date of return).

Prices
All prices on the website, including those in the Online Store, are quoted in pounds sterling (£). For UK sales of individual items priced at £100+, the online price shown includes delivery. The prices include VAT @ 20% (payable if delivery is within the EU). We reserve the right to change the prices or edit the selection on the website at any time and without any notice.
Despatching orders
Delivery period – the delivery period is in addition to the making period quoted. For Ready-to-Wear items purchased from the online store, allow 2-4 days processing time, before despatch.
Post and mailing costs – Note that currently, my website does not offer any postal or shipping options other than for the UK. This is included for Mainland UK when the retail price of a single item exceeds £100.
As the delivery of goods outside the UK including Northern Ireland, is unfortunately now a complex issue, please get in touch if you require a shipment to a destination outside the Mainland UK (note you will be responsible for payment of all delivery charges, as well as any duties and local taxes).
Frustrated deliveries – once your item has been despatched if it is subsequently returned to me due to a frustrated/non-delivery/non-collection issue, you will be liable for any carriage charges incurred due to reshipping. The refund procedure specified below will be applied.

Returns Policy
Ready to Wear items – if your item has been purchased directly from the “Online Store” goods may not be returned for a refund unless faulty, damaged or the wrong item has been sent. Customised Ready-to-Wear items are subject to the same Ts&Cs as bespoke and couture orders.
Bespoke and couture orders – as your order has been made to your requirements, goods cannot be returned for a refund unless faulty, damaged or the wrong item has been sent.
Hat Hire – On the return of the hire hat or headpiece if the condition of the hat is found to have breached the hire conditions we will exercise our right to retain the security deposit. Furthermore, if the hat has to be written off due to its condition we will charge back the full retail value to the hiree i.e. the full retail price less the cost of the hire fee and security deposit.
Where the incorrect item was sent out in error – and an exchange has been agreed, the replacement item can only be despatched after the goods being returned have been received back at the studio, checked and the exchange has been approved.
Postal charges – if we delivered the item to you in error, or the item is faulty, we will refund your return shipping costs
Eligibility for return – if a return is agreed the items must be returned to us in perfect condition i.e. unworn, unmarked, with any tags intact and in place. If, when your hat is returned it shows signs of wear, including marks or make-up, we will not be able to accept your return nor will we approve a credit. The item will be returned to you at your cost.
Procedure for return – if a return is agreed you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods. Wrap the hat or headpiece securely placing it carefully in the box that it was delivered to you in We recommend obtaining a tracking number when items are returned, and obtaining proof of a stamped and signed despatch certificate (POD). We cannot be responsible for any item lost or damaged in transit.
We reserve the right to amend the conditions relating to sales, prices, returns etc. and edit the selection on the website at any time and without any notice.
