This year, the early summer Open Studios weekend at Marchmont House, Duns TD10 6YL, celebrates the artistic and cultural community at Marchmont, and takes place on Saturday & Sunday 1st & 2nd June.
The aim of the Open Studios weekend at Marchmont House is to heighten awareness of the artistic and cultural community at Marchmont House. Alongside the Open Studios, there will also be a curated Makers Market featuring makers and artisans from the Borders and the surrounding areas, the market will located adjacent to the studio courtyard.
Please do join me there to experience the variety of creative talent at Marchmont and let’s hope for fine weather!
I am delighted to be showing once again with The Tin Shed at Whalton Village Hall, NE61 3XA, on Sunday 23rd June from 10.30-4pm, where I will be focusing on summer millinery.
The Tin Shed has been showcasing art and design, both online and at pop-up events, since 2013, and represents some of the very best artists and makers from the North of England and Scottish Borders. At Whalton, The Tin Shed will be featuring around 20 talented local artists and makers so there will be something for most tastes and budgets and of course, it’s also a great opportunity to meet the artists and find out more about their work.
The local charity PAWS provides the pre and after-school supervision at Whalton School, will be joining The Tin Shed Summer Arts Fair and providing refreshments in the historic front room at Whalton Village Hall, helping to raise funds for the charity.
I do hope to meet you at one of these early summer events.
