To help with the charity fund raising Burns Night celebrations at
Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh,
I was inspired to create a capsule range – Ready Ay Ready!
Here’s “Ready” – a hand blocked wool felt trilby, with highlight detail band and lining in the school tartan, Cameron of Erracht (by Lochcarron Weavers), finished with a petersham band.
This piece was donated to the evening’s Charity Raffle. All the funds raised by the Burns Night dinner are to be distributed to Hearts and Balls, Place2Be, Braidburn School, and the School Pipe Band.
Here’s some more images of the trilby this time taken by my good friend photographer Phil Punton:

“Ay” I managed to get the next piece – ay- finished in time to wear it myself, to the Burns Night celebrations at school.
‘Ay” is a couture finished headband wrapped in red dupion silk and finished with tartan and red silk roses, trimmed with diamante centres
Finally here’s “Ready!” This is an indented pear drop in navy blue wool felt with a tartan bias trim, wool felt petals, tartan ribbon roses, and highlight diamante stud.
And finally a last close-up image of “Ready!” in a suitability tartan setting!
Hope you like “Ready Ay Ready!” new for January 2015
