Now that the holiday season is well and truly over it’s time to start thinking about the upcoming artisan autumn craft fairs over the coming weeks that I’ll be attending in Northumberland and the surrounding areas.
The first event – Art at the Hindmarsh – is taking place in a couple of weeks.
Art in the Hindmarsh is held in the historic Hindmarsh Hall, located in the beautiful coastal village of Alnmouth. There will be a lovely curated selection of artisans and artists showing their selections of locally handmade work, for you to browse.
After that, can you believe it? We will be in November!
November starts with the fabulously popular Northumberland’s HospiceCare’s Joy of Christmas event, held annually at Linden Hall. This large venue will be offering a significant variety of stalls, and of course, there will also be refreshments available.
The next event in November is a new one for me – and its at Springwood Park, Kelso, in the Borders.
The Crafters Art & Design Fair is a spin-off from the very popular Crafters shop in the centre of Melrose, and I am delighted to have been selected to show a selection of winter millinery and millery accessories at Springwell Park.
The final event of November will be at Brancepeth Castle, where along with a collection of winter millinery and accessories I will also be showing a selection of effortless head wraps made from Liberty Print Tana Lawn and similar fabrics (£25 each). The headwraps are always very popular at events, these will be paired with winter felt halos, as well as winter hats and headpieces.
My next post will include details of the December Christmas events I will be involved in, in the meantime, I do hope this post has given you a glimpse into what I’m planning for the next few weeks, and I’m now looking forward to welcoming you at one of the upcoming events!
