In this hands-on introductory millinery workshop, you will learn about one of the core millinery materials – sinamay – and how to manipulate it to create your very on-trend halo headpiece.

In this hands-on introductory millinery workshop, you will learn about one of the core millinery materials – sinamay – and how to manipulate it to create your very own on-trend halo headpiece decorated with a choice of trims. The course will give you an overview of working with sinamay (including manipulating the bias). There will also be finishing options such as how to make sinamay trims including lilies, loops and swirls to finish your sophisticated headpiece. There are a maximum of 4 student places available. 

All materials are included, and there will be a choice of halo base colours – black, navy, white, ivory and cerise pink. If you are interested in an alternative base colour, please get in touch. The all-day workshop which starts at 10.30 – features an am and pm session both lasting in the region of 2- 2.5 hours – and runs until 4 pm, with a short break for lunch. The workshop is suitable for millinery beginners, though some sewing skills are helpful.
